Children's Day at the Oderbruch Museum

Saturday, May 2, 11.00-17.00

Fun, games and participation: on Saturday, May 2, the castle and park belong to the children - and their parents.

To 11.00 a.m. we open the gates and many surprises await you:

Right in the castle park there is a colorful Circus playground with lots of things that can be spun, balanced and juggled. André has a few tricks up his sleeve for anyone who needs help outwitting gravity.

If you have now found your balance and also have a steady hand, you can try out small Pewter figures bemalen. Mit Peter Kroel könnt ihr in eine faszinierende Welt aus kleinen Figuren eintauchen. Er hat für euch Zinn, Farbe und zarte Pinsel mitgebracht.

Also in the Museum workshop there's lots to do again. Peggy awaits you here with all the many things that a museum workshop has to offer. Just come in, join in and try things out.

Anyone who needs a break from all the trying out and participating: Once again this year, the lovingly self-built Carousel with a hand crank from Mr. Bertold from Altranft in the castle park. Here you can do a few laps at your leisure, we'll do the cranking for you.

We have also put together a varied program for the day:

To 11.30 Tiago Fonseca starts with his first magic clown show. With juggling and acrobatics, he makes the impossible possible and enchants his audience.

Against 13.00 the TheaterJugendClub from Zollbrücke invites you to a storytelling theater. The „fairytale chamber“ will be in a secret, hidden place in the castle. However, the meeting point will not be quite so hidden.

Back in the park 14.00 continues with a circus theater show. In „Family Circus 2.0“, two circus artists decide to have a child and suddenly the world is literally turned upside down. With juggling, aerial artistry, acrobatics and clowning, they too outwit gravity.

There are even more fairy tales around 15.00, again in the fairytale chamber.

Finally, at 4 p.m., we will select the winners of this year's diorama competition. Throughout the day, you can marvel at the dioramas made by children and young people in the upper foyer and choose your favorite diorama for the audience award.

If you need a snack in between: Outside in the park, „Goldmund“ has once again prepared delicious vegan food. The barbecue next door serves bratwurst and, of course, waffles and ice cream are a must on a day like this.

Admission is free (as on all program days).
