Cultural heritage sites are local history rooms and village museums, land and building monuments, pumping stations or ship and windmills, churches or farms. Together they bring the cultural heritage of this landscape to life. In the guidebook Schau ins Bruch (German Polish English), the 40 designated heritage sites are described. It gives you all the information you need to get to know the Oderbruch and reveals many a secret.
The guide is free of charge and available at all tourist information offices in the Oderbruch, as well as at the Oderbruch Museum.
In a separate series of events of exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, concerts and excursions, the cultural heritage sites this year deal with the annual theme of nature. You can find all events and projects here.
Photographer and journalist Michael Anker met the people who are committed to the many heritage sites. They are people who work at the places mostly on a voluntary basis and preserve and pass on the cultural heritage of the Oderbruch. In our Blog Michael Anker introduces the places and its people. Children and young people introduce you to the heritage sites in a short film series. You can find more information about the project and of course all the films here.
