October 31, 2025, 6 p.m. Village church Altranft am Anger

A revue about the Oderbruch melting pot as reflected by the people who worked in it.
A production in the village church of Altranft
In keeping with the annual theme of NEIGHBORHOOD, the Oderbruch Museum in Altranft brings together people from different worlds and times in a small but special revue.
Under the title "DIE PFANNE. A review of the Oderbruch melting pot as reflected by the people who worked in it", cultural scientists Kenneth Anders and Lars Fischer take a tour through the history of the Oderbruch and present personalities who worked in the Oderbruch and left their mark or left the Oderbruch to make their mark on the world.
The list of names is illustrious. Among them are: the political activist and co-founder of the Green Party Rudolf Bahro, the naturalist and circumnavigator Adelbert von Chamisso, the pop singers Conny Froboess and Monika Herz, the poet Gottfried Benn, Chancellor Theobald Theodor Friedrich Alfred von Bethmann Hollweg, the head of government of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Manuela Schwesig, the dyke engineer von Haerlem, the strong women of Friedland, the cosmonaut Sigmund Jähn, the doctor Nobutsugu Koyenuma, the agronomist and farmer Albrecht Daniel Thaer and many more.
In the performative staging, Anders and Fischer, accompanied musically by multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Blache, comment on and arrange panels depicting more than 30 personalities drawn by artist Antje Scholz for the revue. There will be playing, reciting, singing and running. In the village church of Altranft, a very special pictorial narrative about the Oderbruch in the world and the world in the Oderbruch is created before everyone's eyes. The highlight of the performance is, with the help of the guests, the removal of the objects from the church to Altranft Castle, where they are assembled into an exhibition in the dining room.
There will be a second performance on the day of the program, Saturday 01.11.2025 at 11.00 a.m., also in the Altranft church
