The 2nd Paffen Tour - bicycle excursion and Hubertus Mass.

The start is on July 7th at 13.00 o'clock in Sietzing

The 2nd Pfaffen Tour organized by the Freundeskreis Fachwerkkirche Sietzing e.V. is a guided bike excursion that brings the history of the Oderbruch, its landscape and special cultural heritage sites to life. The tour starts in Sietzing at 1 pm and also ends in Sietzing. In addition to guided tours of the churches in Altbarnim, Altlewin and Sietzing, the tour also takes in the longest avenue of lime trees in the Oderbruch and the state of Brandenburg in Neubarnim. It is the landmark of the colonist village, which was built as a street village between 1754 and 1756.

An interesting program on the topic of "Our Oderbruch with its flora and fauna" starts at 4 p.m. in Sietzing and includes the topic of hunting. One aim is to playfully break down reservations and fears - especially with regard to children - and to create access to the fascination of the world of bees, foxes, deer, wild boar and other wild animals and to awaken an ecological awareness of the Oderbruch.

At 5 p.m., there will be a devotion with hunting horn sounds on the theme of "Hunting" in the renovated half-timbered church in Sietzing in a free interpretation of a Hubertus Mass.

The tour is easy and suitable for all age groups, especially children and young people.

Finish off with a refreshment at the "Wilde Tafel" and reflect on the trip and your impressions over a cool drink.

The program of the second Pfaffen Tour.

With the second Pfaffentour, the "Freundeskreis Sietzinger Fachwerkkirche e.V." follows on from the project on the annual nature theme "Die Paffen Kräuter Tour" and establishes a connection between the church, hunters and the natural environment through small exhibitions in the churches visited. The Hubertus Mass as a hunter's service has long been part of church tradition in rural areas.
