Mathematician, sportsman or writer? In various workshops, the children at Fontane Primary School Bad Freienwalde investigated who actually gave their school its name. Three of these workshops took place in cooperation with the Oderbruch Museum.
Writing and painting workshop
In the writing and painting workshop, the children slipped into Fontane's role and wrote and illustrated their own short stories. The result is nine fictional stories about the lives of young people today and in the past.
Animation workshop
In the animated film workshop, the children explored the many facets of Theodor Fontane's life in a playful way and animated their own little story about him. They developed a short plot, drew and made their scenes and recorded their text at the end.
Audio workshop
After a strenuous hike through the Oderbruch, Theodor Fontane arrives at the Bergschmidthof farm in Altranft and is invited for refreshments by the Schmidt family. In the audio workshop, the ten children came up with a short audio play in which they immersed themselves in the past and slipped into different roles.
