The pan. A revue - Paintings in the picture salon - Pewter figure casting

People from many regions of the world have worked in the Oderbruch and left their mark, and quite a few people from the Oderbruch have gone out into the world and made their mark there. A short revue puts them and their stories at the center of the program day. Two exhibitions and a special museum workshop round off the day.

11.00 a.m.: In the village church on Anger opposite the museum, we are performing "DIE PFANNE. A revue about the Oderbruch melting pot as reflected by the people who worked in it."

In keeping with the annual theme of NEIGHBORHOOD, we are connecting people from different worlds and times in a small but special revue. The parade ride through the history of the Oderbruch and introduces personalities who have worked in the Oderbruch and left their mark or who have set out from the Oderbruch into the world and made their mark.

The list of names is illustrious. They include: the political activist and co-founder of the Green Party Rudolf Bahro, the naturalist and circumnavigator Adalbert von Chamisso, the pop singers Conny Froboess and Monika Herz, the accordionist Tobias Morgenstern, the dyke engineer von Haerlem, the strong women of Friedland and the civil rights activist Ingrid Köppe, the doctor Nobutsugu Koyenuma, the agronomist and farmer Albrecht Daniel Thaer and many more.

People play, recite, sing and run. In the village church of Altranft, a special kind of pictorial narrative about the Oderbruch in the world and the world in the Oderbruch is created before everyone's eyes. The highlight of the performance is the exodus from the church to Altranft Castle, where the revue becomes an exhibition in the dining room.

A hint: The premiere of the revue is the evening before, on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 6 p.m. in the village church in Altranft

2 p.m.: In the Picture Salon at Altranft Castle, we are showing new paintings by Petra Schramm, who has traveled on both sides of the Oder and is presenting her works under the title "In the Sky of the River - Landscapes". A discussion with the artist, who works in Altlangsow and Berlin, will provide an opportunity to delve deeper into her landscapes.

3.00 pm: In the cellar we present the exhibition "Scenes from the Oderbruch. A little cultural history in pewter". Small and large lovingly designed dioramas capture historical moments of special significance for the Oderbruch. The exhibition was designed together with Peter Kroel, who has been casting pewter figures himself for decades and is in contact with many colleagues in Berlin-Brandenburg who have lent us their exhibits. The largest diorama depicts the construction of the Oderbruch canal in the 18th century and was lent to us by the Berlin City Museum. It is worth a look for young and old alike.

12.00 p.m. A suitable workshop offer with Peter Kroel and his wife Christiane welcomes all those who want to take things into their own hands: Paint your own pewter figures - the bodies and paints are already there and waiting for many hands that want to wield a delicate brush!

Admission is free!
