Exhibition of amateur photographers to provide insight into young lives
A central element of the work of the Oderbruch Museum is the respective Annual theme. It sets the tone for exhibitions, publications and events. We call on amateur and hobby photographers to participate and send photos on the theme of "Youth" to the Oderbruch Museum.
"With such an annual theme, we're naturally eager to show the perspective of young people themselves." Program director Dr. Kenneth Anders hopes to receive as many submissions as possible. "However, it is not only young photographers who are called upon to send in their pictures. We also like to show old photographs that give an insight into the life of the youth of the Oderbruch in the past. In short, if the theme of youth is evident, the picture will be considered in the selection." In addition, there is another important rule that must be followed: There should be at least one person in the picture.
The museum prefers to accept digital media in portrait or landscape format by mail, but will also allow analog images for the selection. Please note that the hanging will be in 3:4 (or 4:3) aspect ratio only and that the museum reserves the right to crop the corresponding image evenly in case of deviating submissions. It is also important to have a completed and signed permission form to display the submitted photos at the museum. You can download this below.
An internal museum jury will decide which photographs will be printed in high quality and displayed in the exhibition. Closing date is February 15, 2023
