The Oderbruch has gained European significance as a cultural landscape thanks to its special history and culture. In 2022, the region was awarded the European Heritage Label.

The program year 2025 at the Oderbruch Museum is funded by the district of Märkisch-Oderland, the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg, the town of Bad Freienwalde and the Oderbruch municipalities.
