The Oderbruch has gained European significance as a cultural landscape thanks to its special history and culture. In 2022, the region was awarded the European Heritage Label.

The program year 2026 at the Oderbruchmuseum is funded by the district of Märkisch-Oderland, the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the Brandenburg, the Oderbruch municipalities and the EWE Foundation.
