Water marks in the Oderbruch - discovery tour by bike with PHON-O-RAMA in your luggage
As every year, we invite you to our August program day for a cycle route along cultural heritage sites, combined with musical experiences, conversations and the opportunity to enjoy refreshments along the way.
Start: Altranft Castle Park
This year, we will be visiting water markers - important sites for water management and flood protection. During the tour, three of these sites will be presented to you in more detail by means of discussions and short guided tours. On this day, they will be officially registered as cultural heritage sites of the Oderbruch because they are still of great technical and historical importance today. In addition to the sandbag filling site in Altreetz, which played a central role in the 1997 flood, you will be introduced to the dyke breach and embrasure near Zollbrücke and can take part in a guided tour of the Neutornow floodwater pumping station.
Route: Altranft - Altreetz - Zollbrücke - Neurüdnitz-Siekierki - Neutornow - Altranft
Length: 35 km

We've also brought along the ensemble for you PHON-O-RAMA, consisting of Martin Klingeberg (trumpet, euphonium, vocals, composition), Orlando de Boeykens (tuba), and Martial Frenzel (drums). The blues- and gospel-infused music of brass bands from the southern United States is uninhibitedly blended with reggae, funk, Afrobeat, drum ’n’ bass, and whatever else comes to mind, then seasoned with wit and irony and served up with ice-cold precision by a few crazy musicians!

PHON-O-RAMA will be giving three concerts along the entire route. The exact venues can be found in the program. The program points can also be visited individually.
