A cultural confrontation with the conflict over the Oder
The Oder and its water system form the backbone of the Oderbruch and shape the landscape. The Oder is a dynamic habitat, waterway, recreational area, subject of artistic or scientific work and much more. Its water management development has been a contentious issue not only since the 2023 fish kill. What are the points of contention? What are the arguments for and against expansion? Can there be compromises, what would they look like?
In the castle and the park, readings, plays, short films, songs and other cultural and artistic contributions will give new impetus to the debate and invite discussion.
