Summer vacation and nothing going on?

Not with us!

In the first weeks of the summer vacations, 10 children produced their own little stop-motion film in the museum on the topic of "Neighborhood in the Oderbruch". They brought characters, their own drawings, plasticine and much more to life, giving shape to their thoughts and ideas about a (good) neighborhood. After just 4 days, the film was finished and celebrated its premiere at Altranft Castle.

The children were able to learn how to move inanimate objects in a stop-motion film from the two workshop leaders Mathilde Scholz and Johanna Ickert in the vacation workshop at the Oderbruch Museum Altranft.

The next week, things continued straight away: this time, various games were developed in the Marienkirche Wriezen, which tell unusual stories through the interplay of digital and analog elements. Magnetic pins are used to close electric circuits, holograms can be moved by hand or the organ can be played at the touch of a button, and different sounds and stories are always played. All of this was built and programmed by the children, who conducted interviews and composed their own sounds for the audio contributions.
A workshop by Stefan List, Jakob Rüdrich and Johanna Ickert with the support of many committed people who enriched the project as interview partners.

If you would like to take part in a vacation workshop, you are welcome to register at n.scholz@oderbruchmuseum.de report.
