Graffiti in Golzow

While the water rushes steadily, the oriole flutters and the blackbird sings, these days you can hear an unusual clattering at the new weir system on the Richtgraben in Golzow.
9 children from Golzow elementary school shook countless spray cans and sprayed the now no longer white pump house. After a short technical briefing from the two graffiti artists Dana and Sander from Kienitz (sandanadesign), they got started: Nele, Sissi, Lila, Matteo, Pia, Martha, Jona, Tilda and Marlon from Year 5 chose their colors and tried their hand at the art of spraying. Using lots of blue and green, they slowly create various creatures that are native to the Oder and other bodies of water in the Oderbruch. In addition to a giant burbot, a map of the Oderbruch is also being created. Julian Butschke from the Water and Dyke Association told the children why this little house on the edge of Golzow exists at all, and they were also able to take a look inside.

This landscape education project is a cooperation between the Oderbruch Museum Altranft and the Golzow elementary school and was realized with the support of Frank Schütz, the LfU, the company IWT and the GEDO.
