The association Dörfliche Heimatkultur e.V. from Bliesdorf describes its plans for the Heimatstube Bliesdorf cultural heritage site as follows: "What will remain of today for tomorrow? A new place for memories is being created in the Bliesdorf Heimatstube: the chronicle of the village. Here we record what makes up our life together - from major events to the small, special moments of everyday life.
In 2024, our association began a comprehensive process to redesign the Heimatstube. One key result: the chronicle should become a living place that documents and passes on the history of Bliesdorf. Every year and every month, so many seemingly small things happen that make our life together in the village what it is and what we love. We want to tell about these things in our chronicle so that we can remember them together later, tell guests about our everyday life and record memories for the generations to come. With this project, we are creating a platform for exchange and participation across generations.
Our project is characterized by three focal points:
- The Heimatstube as the home of the chronicle: We are designing a separate area where the chronicle can be viewed and written on. This 'chronicler's corner' will be equipped with tools for both digital and analog work.
- A team of chroniclers: Committed people from the association and beyond work together and across generations on the village chronicle. We invite all Bliesdorf residents and interested parties to contribute their memories, stories and experiences.
- Open participation structures: We are developing a flexible way of working that makes it possible to work continuously on the chronicle. Accompanied by process facilitator Mathilde Scholz, we are trying out new formats to record history in a contemporary way.
Our goal: The chronicle should be a lively reflection of village life - to remember, tell and pass on. We will present the first results on Oderbrucht Day and invite you to continue writing together.
Anyone interested is welcome to become part of our chronicle - because we write history together!"
