Church in the Oderbruch

On the program day on 6 July, the focus will be on the people we talked to about everyday church life in the Oderbruch.

Together with them and all other guests, we would like to 11.00 a.m. deepen these discussions in the Altranft patron saint's church. Christians have helped shape the landscape of the Oderbruch in many ways and are still involved in the landscape in different ways today. What drives them, what gives them strength, what do they despair about, how do they look to the future? We would like to continue this exchange.

The reason for the discussion is the opening of the exhibition on the annual theme of CHURCH "Endurance and strength - church life in the Oderbruch" in the Altranft patronage church. On display are photographs by Michael Anker, large-scale quotations in the nave. Audio pieces, bell sounds, films and further material await you in the annual theme module on the subject of the church. And in the patron's lodge, you can look forward to a student project on the subject of "Churches in the Oderbruch - Perspectives. A collection of moving and eventful history(ies)". In the entrance area of the church, we present photographs of the churches in the Oderbruch that are cultural heritage sites. You can explore all of this after the talk.

Arrangements of hymns specially composed for piano by Gustav Anders will accompany the morning and give it a special rhythm.

If you like, you can join us in the afternoon from 2.30 p.m. a guided tour of the exhibitions "Faith and power" and "A woman builds a church - the building history of the Altranft patron saint's church" in the castle.

To 16.00 hrs The day will end with a short piano concert by Gustav Anders in the patron saint's church.

In the castle, you can enjoy delicious cakes, snacks and drinks in the cafeteria.
