Large regional and farmers' market on September 21 in Altranft

The regional and farmers' market is a format of the Oderland-Spree planning region. It is held every year alternately by the districts of Oder-Spree and Märkisch-Oderland and by the city of Frankfurt (Oder) with the participation of district farmers' associations. In 2024, it will be the turn of the Märkisch-Oderland district - and it has chosen Altranft as the venue.

The focus on this day will be the market in the castle park of the Oderbruch Museum, where the region will be showcasing what it has to offer in terms of food, drink, crafts and enjoyment. As September 21 is also the Day of Crafts, the member companies of the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt (Oder) - Region Ostbrandenburg will be represented with their own show stands. In addition to agricultural and small food producers, three small breweries will be presenting their craft beers at the market.

The regional and farmers' market will also provide a platform for discussions: Young people who see their future in the region as apprentices in the skilled trades and agriculture will present themselves in short interviews on stage, while Henrik Wendorff, President of the Farmers' Association, and Frank Ecker, Managing Director of the Frankfurt (Oder) Chamber of Skilled Crafts, will provide insights into the past economic and harvest year.

The villages of the Oderbruch present their living culture with a large harvest parade, which is prepared with a church service in the Altranft Patronage Church. Modern agricultural technology will also be on display on the village green, and ZALF Müncheberg will be demonstrating the opportunities of robotics in agriculture.

A varied music program with the Freienwalde youth orchestra, the craftsmen's choir and a marching band, artistry, theater for children and many opportunities to join in round off the program. Welcome to Altranft!
